Rules & Guidelines

Welcome to the Rules & Guidelines for The Fake World! While we maintain a minimal set of rules, they are crucial in ensuring a positive and enjoyable experience for all members. Please take the time to review them carefully to uphold the standards and spirit of our community.

General Roleplay Rules

Below are the general rules that apply to all members of The Fake World community. These rules are designed to maintain a safe and immersive roleplay environment for everyone.

Sexual Harassment/Assault

Any form of sexual harassment or assault—whether in roleplay or out-of-character (OOC)—is strictly prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Unwanted sexual advances (IC or OOC)
  • Sexual assault or abuse
  • Coercion or violence of a sexual nature
  • Roleplay involving sexual misconduct of any kind

If you encounter any of the above or similar issues, notify a staff member immediately.

Metagaming

Metagaming—using OOC information to influence in-game actions—is prohibited. This includes:

  • Gaining an advantage via Discord or other external communication
  • Using OOC info to locate or target players in-game
  • Watching livestreams or videos for unfair advantages
  • Evading in-game consequences using OOC knowledge

Powergaming

Powergaming, or forcing roleplay on others without allowing them to respond, is not allowed. Examples include:

  • Forcing actions upon another player without their consent
  • Ignoring the roleplay actions of others or the consequences of your own actions
  • Roleplaying impossible or unrealistic actions

FailRP

FailRP involves unrealistic or out-of-character actions that detract from immersive roleplay. This is strictly prohibited.

Emergency Services Impersonation

Impersonating emergency services personnel is allowed but is subject to in-game legal consequences. However, the following guidelines must be adhered to:

  • Do not use vehicles that are provided under the LEO section of the vehicle menu.
    • Alternatively, you can use vehicles that are provided under the civilian section of the vehicle menu, and attach props to make it look like a police vehicle (there are lots of props to choose from)
  • Do not use marked vehicles, uniforms, or equipment that represent any official department within the server.
  • Members are encouraged to create unique and obviously fake representations of emergency services to add a humorous or creative twist. The goal is to have fun with it while maintaining the integrity of roleplay.

Remember, while impersonation can be part of roleplay, ensure it respects the server's atmosphere and does not interfere with legitimate emergency services roleplay.

GTA Driving

Unrealistic driving that deviates from real-world behavior is not allowed. This includes:

  • Reckless stunts or physics exploits
  • Driving up unrealistic terrain in inappropriate vehicles
  • Performing dangerous or nonsensical maneuvers for the sake of in-game mechanics

Foul Language

While mild swearing may be tolerated, extreme or offensive language is not. This includes:

  • Racial, homophobic, or sexist slurs
  • Derogatory or harmful language towards players, staff, or the community
  • Excessive swearing that disrupts roleplay

Scene Interference

Disrupting an active roleplay scene, without valid in-character reasoning, is prohibited. Examples include:

  • Inserting yourself into a scene with no legitimate purpose
  • Trolling, griefing, or otherwise causing chaos during active roleplay

Out of Character (OOC) Communication

OOC communication is not permitted in-game. Keep all OOC interactions confined to appropriate channels.

Vehicle Repair

Repairing vehicles during active roleplay is generally not allowed. Exceptions may be made for:

  • Desync issues where no crash occurred
  • Glitches or bugs that damage vehicles
  • (For emergency vehicles) If lights or sirens malfunction but the vehicle is otherwise intact

Nude Peds

The use of nude character models is strictly prohibited. Violations will result in an immediate ban without warning.
